Ogni volta che disegna un pezzo per una nuova collezione si chiede lei stessa per prima se lo porterebbe. Cosa lei non porterebbe mai?

Non mi pongo mai dei limiti “Non metterei mai!”, perché alla fine mi sono ritrovata a mettere delle cose che mai avrei pensato di mettere, proprio perché riesco a renderle mie. Per esempio su un abito maculato super-sexy, ci metto una giacca maschile un po’ over e una scarpa bassa stringata. Riesco a dargli una sua vita alla mia maniera Generalmente non metto materiali sintetici, perché non li sopporto. Ed infatti non ho mai fatto in JO NO FUI qualcosa in fibra sintetica, anche se adesso sono molto di tendenza.

Tornando alle foto del suo matrimonio fotografato da Elle, il suo stile, in questa occasione così speciale, viene definito “Hippy-chic”. Il lettore, come osservatore esterno, rimane soggiogato da quest’atmosfera romantica e garbata. Vede solo lo “chic”,dunque,  e nient’altro. Si riconosce in questa descrizione?

In realtà non credo di essere più particolarmente “hippie”, almeno non in maniera così didascalica. La pettinatura era forse il tocco più significativo: avevo molti pettini d’argento infilati nei capelli lasciati  morbidi; e poi sicuramente la passerella con gli archi di fiori aggiungeva al mood romantico.

Alessia, sembra che sia essenziale per te curare personalmente ogni dettaglio. Fra i vari impegni, ha trovato il tempo di curare la scenografia del suo matrimonio, con il tema del mare come filo conduttore, con l’aiuto della wedding planner e pr milanese Alessandra Grillo.

A ELLE Spose dichiara: “E’ tutta questione di particolari. Ogni giorno è speciale, ogni cosa deve essere curata”. Lo possiamo prendere come il suo “Credo” personale?

Assolutamente sì! E non solo nel lavoro,  ma anche nel privato. Per esempio, tutte le mattine faccio colazione seduta a tavola, apparecchiata con la tovaglia lunga e con 5 posate. Anche se ho fretta, non do spazio alla trascuratezza. Per non parlare, poi, di quando ho realmente tempo a disposizione come quando organizzo una cena con gli amici. Adoro ricevere a casa, dove, oltre a cucinare curo ogni dettaglio in maniera quasi ossessiva. I miei amici rimangono sempre pietrificati e mi dicono:”Ma come fai a fare tutto?”.

Every time that you draw a piece for the new collection you ask yourself first if you would wear it. What do you never wear?

I never give myself any limits, “I would never wear this or that!” because at the end I have found myself wearing things I would have never thought to wear, only by way of making them mine. For example I would wear a leopard print dress with an oversized man’s jacket and flat lace-ups. I would create my own look. I generally do not wear synthetic fabrics, because I do not tolerate them on my skin. Therefore I never produced anything synthetic for JO NO FUI, even if synthetic fibers are rather trendy right now.

Alessia’s style for the occasion of her wedding is defined as “hippie chic.” The reader, as an outside observer, remains subjugated from this romantic and genteel atmosphere. One sees only the chic there, and nothing else. Do you recognize yourself in this description?

I really do not see myself as particularly “hippie,” at least not in such an obvious way. Maybe the hairdo had that kind of mood: I had a lot of small silver combs and my hair was lose and soft; I guess the path with the flower arches added to the romantic atmosphere.    

Alessia, it seems that it is essential for you to attend personally to every detail. Among your various commitments you have found the time to take care of the scenography for your wedding, with the theme of the sea as thread, with the help of the Milanese wedding planner and publicist, Alessandra Grillo.

To ELLE Bride she declares, “It is all a question of details. Every day is special, everything has to be cared for.” Can we take this as your personal credo?

Absolutely! And not only at work, it’s the same in my private life. For instance I have breakfast every morning at a fully set table with beautiful table linen and fine cutlery. Even if I am in an hurry, I do not allow neglectfulness to get in. So of course when I do have time like when I organize a dinner party at home, things get literately out of control! I love having people in, and everything has to be perfect, I am almost obsessive on details. My friends always ask “How do you manage to do it all?”
